House Committee on Education and Labor Passes Student Loan Reform Bill

The Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act cleared the committee and passed by vote of 30-17.  Next up is the House of Representatives.  Some analysts expect it to be voted on by the House prior to the August recess.  I will post more tomorrow about the amendments added to the bill during the mark-up session today (I hear a baby crying...my 4 day old son that is).
