Stop and Read the Yellow Box

Prior to applying for a private student loan on the SunTrust website, a yellow box appears with the following text:

Please Note: SunTrust recommends you consider all aid alternatives including grants, scholarships, and federal loans, prior to applying for private student loans.

I have read the above statement

The applicant cannot move forward on the application without indicating that you have read that statement.  This would not seem to be having an impact on reducing their private loan volume, as there was another message on the site: 

I like the idea of the yellow box, however, as it may lead folks to consider other alternatives to the private student loan.  I might even include a link to a page for each of the other options listed (grants, scholarships, federal loans), including details about the amounts available for the various federal loan options.
