This is the first Request for Information that I am aware of going out to lenders, with a deadline of November 10th. NYU is putting out two RFIs focused strictly on private loans; one is focused on domestic students and one for international students. The availability of alternative loans for international students has become a major issue as lenders in many cases have eliminated their custom programs which lent to international students without a co-signer.
